To measure our World Class Screen Products, Micrasem manufacturers deflection meters. These instruments are used for monitoring quality and screen use at all stages. They provide the industry-accepted standard for screen deflection. These meters measures screen deflection in thousands of an inch (0.001" or mils) with a one-pound weight applied to the center of the screen. The meter and weight is calibrated together at Micrasem and should remain together. These instruments are used for initial screen acceptance, qualifying screens throughout production runs and requalifying the screen prior to reuse. |
